I contacted time warner/Spectrum by phone and they claim that I do owe them $748.
I already had an account with them for the past two years, so they already had all my information. I never authorized another account, never signed for it. They never contacted me in any way, never ran a credit check, never even provided any proof this other account ever existed.
But I am supposed to pay them anyway based on a phone call.
Or prove that I didn't open this other account.
Well since I didn't enter a contract with them concerning this bogus account, at least my legal options are not restricted to arbitration if they ding my credit.
And I am cancelling my "real" account.
