Doubled my Cable/internet Bill

I have had Insight service for the past two years. Recently, Time Warner bought the company. I called to downgrade my services because it had become too expensive. The woman on the phone told me my bill would be $99 and some change. This was still more expensive that we wanted but it was the lowest we could get. The first bill we got reflected this change. The second bill came and the price had DOUBLED! I have talked to five different people trying to lower this bill and have been put on hold for around 3 hours to finally be told that I would have to remove even more services but the lowest they could make my bill was $135. To say the least, I was not very happy. Tomorrow I will be driving out to a Time Warner office and either having my bill reduced to what was originally agreed upon or canceling my service. I am VERY dissatisfied with this company and the way they have been trying to take advantage of me.

I had the same thing happen to me. I was told my bill would be $113.00, which I had paid for several months, then out of no where my bill went up to $230.00. I called and they told me that all my promotional rates rolled off. I complained and I paid my usual amount of $113.00 and was told the other amount would be waived. They did not waive the fees. Now they won't waive the fee and they wont lower my rate back down to the $113.00 cause of the past due amount. Really? How was I to know my bill would go up over $100 from one month to the next. 230.00 a month. No cable boxes, no dvr, no HBO, just basic cable, Internet and a land line phone!!!
