Time Warner Cable Complaint

Historically, I have had helpful responses from Time Warner, in re my cable and broadband.
Two weeks ago Mr. Total Idiot appeared to make repairs. He unplugged a watering controller from its dedicated outlet, leaving 7 acres of unwatered landscaping while we went crazy trying to figure out the problem. He pluggged something Time Warner into the outlet.
Today, after two weeks, we found the problem while preparing to install a new sprinkler controller. I phoned TW and after an hour was told that TW cold not send a technician to fix my sprinklers and also that no technician could be sent if my cable and broadband was working because the technician had clearly done his job successfully.
I have an appointment three days from now. TW wanted to be sure the plants were not just suffering, but dead. And when I asked the rep to think out of the box to help me, he actually thought I was insulting him and suggested I keep the conversation professional. I didn't say it, but wondered what he meant by professional - could it have been the professional school of customer frustration? Royan Herman
