Upgrade is huge farce and customer service is non-existent! - time warner internet services
Thanks to you I have more gray hair. Thanks to you it will cost about $60 to get rid of it. That will be added to the $200 computer consulting bill I have since you forced me to %u201Cupgrade%u201D my modem.
Speaking of which, you turned off my original and fully functioning modem WITHOUT NOTICE. This means you not only stopped access to the internet (and my remote office %u2013 I work from home) but my internet based business phone.
When I called to find out why my internet was down I was told that I HAD been notified that I had to go get a new modem from my local time warner office. Ummmmm%u2026. No, I did not. When I said this was not my decision to make this change, do not inconvenience me any further and get someone here to bring and install the new modem, I was told %u201Cnot today%u201D. Not today for me means I cannot work, no income coming into my home today thanks to Time Warner. When I asked to speak to a supervisor%u2026 20 minutes later, a supervisor was able to put back the signal on my modem. But both people said %u201Cyou could come and pick it up and install the new modem yourself.%u201D No I am not a tech. I am a Grandma! I pay you to handle my connectivity issues.
Next day, installer came with modem. Prior to him arriving everything was working fine.
He puts new modem on and my wireless computer and printer are no longer functioning. He doesn%u2019t know what the problem is and anyway is not allowed to do anything about it because of liability. He told me I should call the Geek Squad. So two days of aggravation and I am left with a system that does not work. This from the company that says %u201CI could install it myself%u201D. They cannot install it to work!
Third day, called a computer consultant - $200 later I have a somewhat functioning computer system BUT and this is a BIG but%u2026 the connection to my smart phone is HORRIBLE! This new %u201Cwonderful%u201D modem you gave me only works well when you are in the same room as the modemand hooked up directly to it!!!! Are you kidding me??? The installer said that the new system doesn%u2019t work as well for cell phone connectivity so use the previous system and he gave me two separate connections. The only problem is that they are both equally slow %u2013 slower than molasses! Using the internet on my cell phone in the house now means more frustration and slow slow slow connection.
WOW Time Warner! Thanks a lot! So glad I pay your company $150 a month for such top notch connectivity! And don%u2019t get me started on your customer service (NOT!!!)!
